Las Vegas Events in February 2027: Super Bowl Weekend, MAGIC and the Builders' Show

February is two different months in Las Vegas. The convention calendar packs the Las Vegas Convention Center with two of the year's biggest trade shows, and the middle weekend stacks the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day and Presidents Day into one three day surge. Between those spikes sit some of the softest hotel weeks of the winter. Here is the month ranked by what it does to crowds and prices. For the planning hub, see the Las Vegas events calendar.
The month, ranked by visitor impact

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Feb 2 to 4 | Design and Construction Week: NAHB International Builders' Show + KBIS (LVCC) | Over 120,000 across both shows (NAHB) | Extreme midweek | Now; LVCC corridor hotels sell out first |
| Feb 6 | Chinese New Year (Year of the Goat), celebrations citywide, Lantern Festival Feb 20 | High end leisure surge | High | Early; luxury properties price up first |
| Feb 13 to 15 | Super Bowl LXI weekend + Valentine's Day + Presidents Day | About 250,000 visitors (estimate) | Extreme | Immediately; see the Super Bowl watch parties guide |

| Feb 20 to 21 | Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas: 5K Saturday night, half marathon and 10K Sunday on the Strip | Tens of thousands of runners | Moderate-High | Routine; note Sunday evening Strip closures |

The Super Bowl weekend stack (February 13 to 15)
Super Bowl LXI is played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 14, 2027 (kickoff expected 3:30 PM Las Vegas time, on ABC and ESPN), and Las Vegas is the biggest watch city in the country for it: sportsbooks, watch parties and a three day weekend, since Monday February 15 is Presidents Day and the Sunday is also Valentine's Day. It is the first Super Bowl ever played on Valentine's Day. Where to watch, what parties cost and when they announce: our Super Bowl watch parties in Las Vegas guide tracks the venues as 2027 parties are published.
Convention weeks: Builders' Show (February 2 to 4) and MAGIC (February 16 to 18)
Design and Construction Week pairs the NAHB International Builders' Show with KBIS at the Las Vegas Convention Center; NAHB projects over 120,000 attendees across the two co-located shows, which makes the first week of February one of the heaviest midweek hotel stretches of the year. Two weeks later, MAGIC Las Vegas brings the fashion industry to the same building (February 16 to 18, trade only, credential verified), co-located with PROJECT Las Vegas and SOURCING at MAGIC, about 78,000 attendees across the marketplace. If you are a leisure visitor, both weeks are fine as long as you book early and expect Convention Center corridor prices; if you want the quiet version of February, aim for the gaps (February 8 to 11, or the last week outside the Metallica nights).
Weather and crowd context
February days in Las Vegas are mild, typically highs in the low to mid 60s Fahrenheit with cold desert nights, and pool season has not started. Chinese New Year (Saturday, February 6, Year of the Goat) brings a high end leisure surge and property decorations across the Strip, with festivities running to the Lantern Festival on February 20. The Rock 'n' Roll races close Las Vegas Boulevard on Sunday evening, February 21 (half marathon starts 4:30 PM outside New York-New York, finish at Bellagio), which matters if you are driving the Strip that night.
Where to stay, by week
For the Convention Center weeks, the east Strip and the LVCC corridor price first; mid Strip is the value play: Flamingo on Expedia for budget mid Strip, The Cosmopolitan on Expedia for the Super Bowl weekend splurge, Aria on Expedia for a quieter luxury base. Flying in: the flight Price Calendar rates February's weekends individually, and Super Bowl weekend airfares behave like a holiday even though the game is in Los Angeles.
