ThingsVegas – The Only Las Vegas Guide Written by People Who Live Here
Discover the best entertainment, dining, and experiences in Las Vegas. Honest reviews, insider tips, and everything you need to plan an unforgettable trip in 2026.
Start With the Decisions That Shape Your Trip
Las Vegas trips are easiest to plan when you choose the fixed parts first: where you will stay, a headline show or special dinner, and the dates that can move hotel prices or crowds. A hotel is more than a room in Las Vegas; its location affects walk times, rideshares, resort fees, pool access, and where you are likely to spend an evening. A show or reservation anchors the rest of a night, so check its venue and arrival guidance before adding nearby plans.
Then use the category guides to build the flexible parts of the trip. Compare shows by audience fit and runtime, restaurants by neighborhood and budget, attractions by location and practical requirements, and nightlife by age policy, dress code, and reservation expectations. The aim is not to schedule every hour. Leave room for large resort complexes, heat, transport, and a spontaneous stop that turns out to be worth your time.
Plan With Current Information
Schedules, availability, prices, resort policies, and event calendars change. ThingsVegas provides editorial context and practical comparisons, but the final booking page or venue site is the right place to confirm the details that affect a purchase. Where a page contains a qualifying affiliate link, that relationship is disclosed. It does not determine an editorial ranking or recommendation.
A Simple First-48-Hours Approach
On arrival day, keep plans close to the hotel and avoid booking a tightly timed sequence after a flight. Use the first evening for a nearby dinner, a short Strip walk, or one show rather than attempting several major attractions. On the first full day, choose one anchor activity and build outward with a meal and a nearby stop. This rhythm creates a useful balance between iconic Las Vegas experiences and the time needed to navigate the city comfortably.
Before departure, save key reservations offline, share the daily plan with the group, and identify the next practical choice rather than trying to solve the entire trip at once. That keeps the guide useful from the first search through the final confirmation.
