EDC Las Vegas 2027: Two Weekends, Dusk Till Dawn
The biggest weekend in Las Vegas dance music just doubled. For 2027, Electric Daisy Carnival splits into two weekends under one name, Dusk Till Dawn: EDC Dusk, Friday May 14 to Sunday May 16, and EDC Dawn, Friday May 21 to Sunday May 23, both at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with a citywide programme running the full 12 days from May 13 to 24. Insomniac announced the format right after the 2026 edition, which drew a reported 500,000+ attendees across three days (about 175,000 a day at capacity), and passes for 2027 are on sale now.
Dates, venue and hours
- EDC Dusk: Friday May 14 to Sunday May 16, 2027
- EDC Dawn: Friday May 21 to Sunday May 23, 2027
- Venue: Las Vegas Motor Speedway, about 15 miles north of the Strip
- Hours: Fridays open at 5:00 PM for the opening ceremony; Saturdays and Sundays run 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM. It is a dusk till dawn festival in the literal sense.
- Lineup: identical both weekends, not yet announced as of October 26, 2026. Insomniac also says each weekend runs at reduced capacity versus the old single weekend, to ease crowding and pressure on the city.
- Ages: 18+ to enter, 21+ for alcohol and VIP areas. Photo ID required; digital IDs are not accepted.
The crowd
EDC is the largest recurring gathering in Las Vegas: 500,000+ attendees across the 2026 weekend per EDM.com, DJ Mag and other post-event reporting, on top of Camp EDC, the Hotel EDC takeover and a citywide club week. For 2027 the same demand stretches across 12 days instead of 3, which changes the hotel math below. Between the weekends, the 12 Days of EDC programme keeps the city busy: Hotel EDC takes over Virgin Hotels Las Vegas as the hub (pool parties, after parties, wellness, a concept store and a free art exhibition), with opening parties May 13, after parties May 17, pre parties May 20 and closing parties May 24.
What it does to hotel prices
EDC weekends sit in the top tier of Las Vegas hotel demand alongside New Year's Eve and the Grand Prix, and 2027 adds a second peak weekend plus ten nights of shoulder demand. Strip and downtown rates for both festival weekends will price like a major fight weekend, and the reduced festival capacity does not shrink the citywide party crowd. The value plays are the same as ever: book early and refundable, look at downtown and off-Strip properties for the festival nights themselves, and remember the Speedway is northeast of the city, so the official shuttle stops matter more than being on the Strip. Start with our Las Vegas hotel guide, or check a mid-Strip base like the Flamingo on Expedia (affiliate link) while EDC weekend rates are still at early tiers.
Book by window
- Passes: on sale now and tiered. Dawn and the both weekend passes sold out within about six days of the May 2026 on-sale before returning on October 8. When your tier is available at a price you accept, buy it; waiting has only ever made EDC more expensive.
- Hotels: book the festival weekends as soon as passes are in hand. The midweek nights between the weekends (May 17 to 20) are the relative bargain of the 12 days.
- Shuttles: official shuttle passes sell separately and historically sell out. Treat them as part of the ticket purchase, not an afterthought.
- Flights: both EDC weekends rate Extreme on our Flight Price Calendar. Book flights earlier than you think; the Speedway crowd flies in from everywhere.
Tickets: Front Gate, honestly
EDC passes sell direct through Front Gate Tickets, the only official primary seller; there is no affiliate route for EDC passes and we will not pretend otherwise. Prices are all in (the figure shown includes fees) and all sales are final. Verified on Front Gate's live pages on October 26, 2026 (launch prices in brackets, May 2026):
| Pass | EDC Dusk (May 14 to 16) | EDC Dawn (May 21 to 23) | Both weekends |

GA+ adds expedited entry lanes and premium restrooms; VIP adds fast entry, viewing decks and VIP only areas. Layaway plans are offered on all pass types. Prices last checked October 26, 2026; tiers move, so confirm on Front Gate before you rely on a figure.
Camping: Camp EDC runs all 12 days
For the first time, Camp EDC stays open the entire run, Thursday May 13 to Monday May 24, 2027, and 12 day campers can come and go between weekends (the exception to the festival's no re-entry rule). Options are the Cozy ShiftPOD (up to 4 people), the Cozier ShiftPOD (up to 2, with mattresses, bedding and a preferred location) and bring your own RV (power add-on required for the 12 day pass). Camping is sold separately from festival passes and went on sale in September 2026 with deposits reported at $30.
Getting there
- Official shuttles: the only shuttles with direct gate access, and the only charter vehicles allowed to drop at the Speedway. The 2026 programme's standard stops were the World Market Center, the Rio, The Strat and a Mid-Strip stop, with Premier adding Virgin Hotels; buses run out from about 6:30 PM and return from 2:00 AM until an hour after the music ends. 2027 shuttle passes had not been priced when we checked on October 26, 2026.
- Driving: I-15 to Exit 54 (Speedway Blvd). General parking is free. The official guidance is blunt: do not follow Google or Waze near the venue; follow event signs and officers.
- Rideshare and taxi: a designated lot only, with long waits and heavy surge pricing at the 5:30 AM close. Pre-book your patience or take the shuttle.
What to pack (the rules version)
EDC entry involves a TSA style search, and the bag rules are specific: hydration packs with at most two main compartments plus one small one (empty on entry, free water stations inside), clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a small clutch up to 6 x 9 inches. No regular backpacks, no glass, no aerosol cans, no markers, no outside food or drink. Our EDC essentials guide matches every recommended item against the official allowed and prohibited lists, so nothing you buy gets confiscated at the gate.

The full citywide experience, including Camp EDC and the 12 Days of EDC programme at Hotel EDC, runs May 13 to 24. The lineup is identical both weekends and had not been announced as of October 26, 2026.
How much are EDC Las Vegas 2027 passes?
At the May 2026 on-sale, a single weekend started at $399.99 GA, $499.99 GA+ and $899.99 VIP, with both weekends from $599.99 GA, all in. EDC prices by tier: when passes came back on sale on October 8, 2026, the Early Owl tier read $479.99 GA for EDC Dusk, $529.99 for EDC Dawn and $859.99 for both weekends, fees included, on Front Gate Tickets (checked October 26, 2026). Tiers sell out and prices step up without much warning, and Dawn plus the both-weekend passes sold out within about six days of the first on-sale.
Where do I buy EDC passes, and are resale sites safe?
Front Gate Tickets is the only official primary seller, and Insomniac's own tickets page warns to purchase passes only from Front Gate. All sales are final. Resale marketplaces exist but are not endorsed, and passes bought outside official channels cannot be verified at entry.
Can I bring a hydration pack, and what bags are allowed?
Yes: hydration packs are allowed if they have no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment, and they must be empty when you enter. Free filtered water refill stations run all night. Full size backpacks are not allowed. Beyond hydration packs, the allowed bags are clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches and small clutches up to 6 x 9 inches. The full packing rules, including what is banned (aerosol cans, glass, markers, outside food), are in our EDC essentials guide.
How do I get to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for EDC?
The official EDC shuttle is the only shuttle allowed to drop passengers at the gates; private charter buses cannot access the Speedway. Shuttle stops in the 2026 programme were the World Market Center, the Rio, The Strat and a Mid-Strip stop, with a Premier tier adding Virgin Hotels. Driving uses I-15 Exit 54 and general parking is free; the official advice is to ignore your navigation app near the venue and follow event signs and officers. Rideshare uses a designated lot and surges hard at the 5:30 AM close.
