Awakening at Wynn: 10 days to the final curtain

Wynn's Awakening is still on schedule for its final performance on October 10, 2026, just 10 days away. Wynn's own booking page is selling the remaining dates as "Final performances, now through October 10," and fresh coverage this week confirms no extension or reprieve is coming.

This is genuinely your last chance. The 1,600-seat theater-in-the-round was purpose-built for this one show (the moving floor, the drones, the 3,200 speakers), and a room like this does not tour. The schedule for the final run is Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 and 9 p.m., and Sunday at 4 and 7 p.m., dark Wednesday and Thursday, so plan your trip nights accordingly. Carrot Top is home from the hospital, sets Oct 19 comeback at Luxor

Scott Thompson, known as Carrot Top, has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home in Las Vegas, his representative Jami Schlicher confirmed Saturday. He has set a return date: he is due back on stage at Luxor's Atrium Showroom on October 19, with tickets already on sale through Luxor and Ticketmaster.

Thompson has been offstage since September 18, when he was hospitalized after what his team described as a mental health crisis. His representatives say he has been in good spirits and eager to get back to the stage, and MGM Resorts issued a statement saying they are relieved he is recovering. Bang Bar by Momofuku closes Oct 4 at the Cosmopolitan

David Chang's Bang Bar in Block 16 Urban Food Hall at the Cosmopolitan closes after service on October 4, 2026, MGM Resorts announced. That is this Sunday, so if the griddled flatbreads and rice bowls are part of your Vegas routine, this is your last week.

A replacement concept by Momofuku and China Palace Group is planned to open in the space in 2027, but no name or date has been announced. Lionel Richie pauses tour after heart procedure; Vegas dates still on

Lionel Richie has halted his touring schedule after undergoing what his representative called "a common procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib)," with the doctor saying "everything went perfectly." He postponed three shows with Earth, Wind and Fire: San Francisco (September 26), Chicago (September 30) and Columbus, Ohio (October 2), with no makeup dates set yet.

For Vegas planners, the key detail is that his "King of Hearts" residency dates at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas are unchanged, with shows set for October 14, 16 and 17 and November 11, 13 and 14. John Mayer announces first solo Sphere residency: six nights, April 2027

John Mayer announced Monday, September 28, that he will headline Sphere for six shows: April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18, 2027. Each night is built as three sets in one: solo (acoustic, piano and electric), his full band, and the John Mayer Trio reuniting him with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino. It is his first Sphere run under his own name after playing 48 shows there with Dead and Company in 2024 and 2025.

Tickets start at $129. Santana extends Vegas residency into a record 15th year

Announced Tuesday, September 29: Santana is adding 16 new shows to "An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live: Presented by SiriusXM" at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay, running January 20-31 and May 12-23, 2027. The residency, which began in 2012, now stretches into a record-breaking 15th year, the longest-running rock residency still performing in Las Vegas.

The presale began September 29, and general on-sale starts October 2 at 10 a.m. PT. A portion of proceeds from every ticket benefits Santana's Milagro Foundation for underrepresented children and the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation. The band also still has a run of shows this November.

Bravo announces "Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas" ahead of the Vanderpump Hotel

Bravo announced Tuesday, September 29, that a three-part limited series, "Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas," premieres with two episodes on October 20 and the final episode on October 21. The series documents the launch of Lisa Vanderpump's hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, with the trailer showing the last-minute scramble to open, carpets stuck in customs and an unfinished bar.
