Four changes worth knowing this week: a decade-old Aria nightclub gets its closing date, the SEMA Show takes over the convention center with one public day, Grand Prix prep enters its final phase two weeks before race night, and Broadway's Book of Mormon opens at the Venetian. Details and dates below, each verified against the venue, the organizer, or the announcement itself this week.

JEWEL Nightclub at Aria is closing for good after November 21

MGM Resorts announced on Monday, November 2, 2026 that JEWEL Nightclub at Aria will close permanently after business on Saturday, November 21, 2026, ending a ten-year run. The club opened in May 2016 in the former Haze space and is operated with Tao Group Hospitality; MGM said there are no immediate plans for the 24,000-square-foot space. The final night lands on Grand Prix race night, with Kid Conrad headlining the closing Saturday per the club's own schedule.

Until then JEWEL keeps its regular Friday, Saturday and Monday nights (10:30 PM to 4 AM), including its Monday industry night, and our JEWEL guide now carries the closing date at the top. Aria's replacement late-night option, Alibi Cocktail Social, is set to open on November 13 with a 1920s theme.

Can the public get into the SEMA Show this week?

Yes, on one day. The SEMA Show 2026 runs Tuesday, November 3 to Friday, November 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Tuesday through Thursday is trade only. Friday, November 6 is the public day: a $130 advance show-floor ticket for visitors 16 and over, with no day-of sales. Friday night closes with SEMA Fest, headlined by The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World and 311. RTC is running SEMA detours in the convention center area through November 7, with extra changes for the SEMA Cruise on November 6.

F1 Grand Prix prep: the final closure phase started Monday

The last scheduled prep phase before race week began on Monday, November 2: overnight lane reductions on Sands Avenue (Las Vegas Boulevard to Manhattan Street) run from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM through November 13, with one lane open in each direction. Two southbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard by the Bellagio fountains stay restricted around the clock through November 9, and Koval Lane closes at the pit building from November 14 to 25. Race week is November 19 to 21, with circuit roads closing at 1:00 PM on each session day. The full day-by-day schedule is in our F1 Las Vegas road closures guide, and the circuit-side hotels are in our F1 hotels guide.

The Book of Mormon opens at the Venetian tonight

The touring production of The Book of Mormon opens tonight, Wednesday, November 4, at the Venetian Theatre, and plays 15 performances through Sunday, November 15, with 2:00 PM matinees on both weekends and no performance on Monday, November 9. The musical runs about 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission. It is the month's biggest theatrical booking; the rest of the month is in our Las Vegas events November 2026 guide and our fall 2026 shows guide.

That is the week. We publish a new update every week, and only when something material has changed.
