By the ThingsVegas Editorial Team | Published November 5, 2026 | Last reviewed: November 5, 2026

Elopement photography in Las Vegas costs from $450 for one hour at one location to $2,400 for four hours of hourly coverage, from published packages checked on November 5, 2026. The price moves with hours, locations and permit handling, not with the word wedding. This page compares them and shows when a ceremony package already includes the photos.

Every figure in this table comes from the photographer's own pricing page, checked November 5, 2026. A useful cross check sits between the rows: Cactus Collective, a permitted desert coordinator, publishes about $550 per hour as its component figure for a professional elopement photographer. The hourly row above prices at $600 an hour, which is why we treat $550 to $600 an hour as the honest planning band for standalone coverage.

Photography budget estimator

Pick a published package, then add the extras couples most often add. The total is a planning estimate from the table above, not a quote.

Your estimate: $900

Desert permits are handled by the photographer on the SpaceChild packages; confirm permit handling in writing for any package before you pay a deposit.

What changes the price?

  • Locations, not just hours. A second location adds driving, parking and timing risk. The jump from $450 to $900 at SpaceChild buys 1.5 more hours and the second location together.
  • Desert permits. SpaceChild states that desert locations require a photography permit booked in advance and that the photographer handles it. At Valley of Fire, Nevada State Parks runs its own permit system; at Red Rock, timed entry reservations run October to May. A quote that never mentions permits for a desert shoot is a quote to question.
  • Image rights and gallery size. The packages above state full print rights or printing rights plainly, and edited image counts from about 30 to 150 or more. If a cheaper quote is silent on print rights, compare it again after you price printing elsewhere.
  • The season. Sarah Jay notes the two main Las Vegas wedding seasons are spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). Weekend dates in those windows book first, which is why the one to three month booking advice matters.

When is photography already included?

Check your ceremony package before you buy twice. Valley of Fire Weddings includes a licensed officiant, ceremony photography with 200 or more edited images, flowers and the managed park permit in every package from $900 to $1,499, checked on the operator site on November 5, 2026. The full comparison sits on our elopement cost page, and the locations those photos come from are compared on our elopement locations page. A bookable photo experience also sits in the live shelf on Viator wedding packages for Las Vegas; verify the current price on Viator before you book, because we do not print a Viator photo tour price we have not opened on the day.

Base the shoot somewhere central

Two location routes start easier from the middle of the Strip:

Caesars Palace on Expedia (central, classic backdrops on foot)

The Venetian on Expedia (canals and stonework without leaving the resort)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an elopement photographer cost in Las Vegas?

Published packages checked on November 5, 2026 run from $450 for one hour with SpaceChild Photography to $2,400 for four hours of hourly coverage with Sarah Jay Photo LV. Most couples land in the middle: $900 buys 2.5 hours and two locations with SpaceChild, and $1,200 buys two hours with Sarah Jay. The table on this page compares the published packages side by side.

What do you get for $450 of elopement photography?

SpaceChild's one hour, one location package, checked on the photographer's own site on November 5, 2026: about 30 or more edited images, a private online gallery of high resolution images, full print rights, and sneak peeks within 48 hours. It covers the ceremony and a short portrait set at one location, not a multi stop route.

Why does a second location cost more than the extra time?

Because the second location adds travel, parking and, in the desert, a permit. SpaceChild states that desert locations such as Red Rock and Valley of Fire require a photography permit booked in advance, which the photographer handles, and that Red Rock also uses timed entry reservations from October to May. Those logistics, not just the shooting hour, are what a two location package prices.

Is photography included in elopement packages?

Often, yes. Valley of Fire Weddings includes ceremony photography with 200 or more edited images in its $900 to $1,499 packages, checked November 5, 2026. Buy standalone photography when your ceremony package has no photographer, when you want a second location the package does not cover, or when you want full print rights in writing, which the standalone packages on this page state plainly.

How far ahead should you book an elopement photographer?

SpaceChild advises one to three months ahead as ideal, especially for weekend dates, on its own FAQ page checked November 5, 2026. Shorter notice can work on weekdays. Desert dates need more lead time than city dates because the photography permit and, at Red Rock in season, the timed entry reservation both sit in front of the shoot.
