Las Vegas Drink Prices 2027: What Beer, Cocktails and Club Drinks Cost

A cocktail server carrying a tray of drinks through a Las Vegas casino floor

A standard cocktail at a Strip casino bar costs $14 to $22 in 2027, a beer $9 to $15, and a nightclub can charge $30 for the same drink plus $12 to $15 for the water after it. At the other end of town the famous anchors still hold: $3 bottled beers at Casino Royale and three cocktails for $12 at Ocean One. This page is the full table, venue type by venue type, plus how free drinks while gambling actually work. Every price was checked on October 29, 2026 against official menus and current local price reporting; where a figure comes from reporting rather than a menu, the source is named. Drinks are one of the biggest lines in a Vegas budget: the LVCVA's 2025 Visitor Profile puts average food and drink spending at $582.86 per trip. Are drinks really free while gambling?

Yes, and the system is more metered than it used to be. Cocktail servers patrol slots and tables looking for people actively playing, and a round typically comes back every 20 to 30 minutes; stay in the same seat, because the server has to find you again. What comp service covers is the well and domestic list: well liquor, domestic bottled beer and house wine. Top shelf brands are usually excluded, need higher tier play, or carry an upcharge. No Las Vegas operator publishes a dollar cap for a comp drink, and this page will not invent one: in practice the cap is the well list itself.

Bar top video poker is where the metering is visible. Caesars Entertainment's system, widely nicknamed Red Light Green Light, works like this: put $20 in the machine and a blue light on the back tells the bartender you have activated it. Play max bet, typically $1.25 a hand on a quarter machine, for about 4 to 5 hands and the light turns green: you qualify. Play too slowly or below max bet and it turns red and comps pause until you requalify. MGM Resorts bar tops use electronic monitoring on the same principle. Some sportsbooks work on drink tickets earned through a set amount of play instead. Downtown is looser: Fremont Street bar tops generally do not run strict light systems, and modest play can still draw comped drinks, because the bartender mainly needs to see active play.

How much do you tip for a free drink?

$1 to $2 per drink in cash, every round, free drinks included. Every source checked for this page lands on the same range, and recent guides put $2 as the standard for good service. The known upgrade: tip $5 to $10 on the first drink and the server prioritizes your seat on later rounds. Servers cannot take players club points as a tip, so carry small bills. Bartenders at a bar you are paying at get $1 to $2 a drink or 15 to 20 percent of the tab. The complete role by role table is in our Las Vegas tipping guide.

What does the top end look like?

Wynn and Encore publish the city's most useful luxury anchor. Their own catering beverage menu (valid through November 30, 2027) prices a premium spirit cocktail at $20, a premium martini at $23, an ultra spirit cocktail at $22, an ultra martini at $25, and beer at $14. Walk-in menus agree: every specialty cocktail at SW Steakhouse is $25, and Wazuzu's cocktails run $19 to $20. Working line: at Wynn and Encore, expect $19 to $25 for a cocktail anywhere in the building, and the most expensive standard pour in Las Vegas is a $25 ultra martini, not a nightclub drink.

Which happy hours are worth planning around?

  • PT's Taverns (70 plus locations): 50 percent off all drinks, twice daily, 5 to 7 PM and midnight to 2 AM. Official prices: Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and Miller Lite pints $3, Tito's drinks $3.75, Jack Daniel's $4, Casamigos Blanco $5.50.
  • Ocean One (Miracle Mile Shops): the 3 for $12 deal above runs all day, every day.
  • The Golden Tiki (Chinatown): daily 4 to 7 PM, $6 beer and $9 select specialty cocktails (per the updated October 2026 happy hour guides).
  • Commonwealth (Fremont East): Friday and Saturday 7 to 9 PM, $5 domestic bottles and $5 well drinks.
  • Dino's Lounge: the graveyard specials in the anchors table, Sunday to Wednesday midnight to 8 AM.
