Nine years in, WOW is still the show people don't expect to love as much as they do. The production marks nine years at Rio Hotel & Casino on October 7, 2026, passing 3,500 performances — a milestone few Vegas productions reach.

Nine years, 3,500 shows

WOW - The Vegas Spectacular opened at Rio on October 7, 2017, and never left. Staged in a 180-degree theater with no bad seat in the house, the 90-minute production packs in acrobatics, aerial acts, water effects, comedy and dance.

The show runs Tuesday through Sunday at 7 p.m. It's open to all ages (recommended 3 and up), which makes it one of the few large-scale productions on the Strip that works as a family night out.

Award-winning and still evolving

WOW has been named a Best of Las Vegas winner in multiple categories, including Best Acrobatic Show in both 2024 and 2025, along with Best Production Show, Best New Show, Best Family Friendly Show and Best Value Show.

Nine years in, the show has kept the acts audiences return for while adding new ones. Among the returning highlights is crossbow specialist Silvia Silvia — the only performer of her kind on a Las Vegas stage — alongside acrobatic and aerial acts introduced over the years.

"Nine years and 3,500 shows in, WOW is still the show people don't expect to love as much as they do. That's the whole point of what we built at Rio," said Hanoch Rosenn, creator of WOW - The Vegas Spectacular.

Nine years and 3,500 performances is not luck — it's a show that delivers.
