CES 2027 Las Vegas Guide: Dates, Registration, Hotels by Campus & Transport

CES 2027 runs Wednesday, January 6 to Saturday, January 9, 2027, with Media Days on January 4 and 5. The 2026 edition drew 148,392 audited attendees, and the show is too big for one building: it spreads across 12 venues organized into three campuses, the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Venetian Expo, and ARIA. The single most important CES decision you will make is not which keynote to attend. It is which campus to sleep near, because crossing town during CES week can eat an hour each way. This guide covers the registration reality, the right hotel for each campus, and how to actually move between venues. Hotel prices last checked: October 12, 2026.

The registration reality: CES is trade-only

Let us save you a wasted trip: CES is not open to the general public, and there are no public tickets at any price. Every registrant must prove a bona fide connection to the consumer technology industry, and the Consumer Technology Association verifies industry affiliation during registration. Media registration is a separate, credentialed process with its own deadlines. If you are industry, register as early as the system allows: approval is not instant, badge pickup lines at the LVCC on day one are enormous, and many attendees have credentials shipped or pick up at the airport badge desks instead. If you are not industry, the honest alternatives are the public tech events and launches around town that week (our 2027 conventions calendar lists the shows that do sell public tickets, including SEMA's Friday public day).

The three campuses, explained

LVCC campus (Tech East)

The Las Vegas Convention Center is the main floor: Central, North, and West Halls holding the big exhibitor booths, automotive tech, and the highest foot traffic of the show. The renovated campus now totals 2.5 million square feet of exhibit space. If your meetings are with major exhibitors, this is your home base.

Venetian Expo campus (Tech West)

The Venetian Expo (formerly Sands Expo) hosts Eureka Park, the startup marketplace, plus digital health, smart home, and lifestyle tech, with meeting suites up in the Venetian and Palazzo towers. Startup founders, investors, and health-tech attendees spend most of their week here.

ARIA campus (C Space)

ARIA in CityCenter is C Space, the marketing, media, and entertainment side of CES: brand keynotes, agency meetings, and content studios. If your CES is about advertising and media, you will barely leave CityCenter.

Where to stay, by campus

Book for your campus, not for the Strip postcard. CES operates free shuttle buses between campuses and official hotels, but a well-placed hotel turns a 45-minute commute into a 10-minute walk. The full area breakdown lives in our hotels near the Las Vegas Convention Center guide.

For the LVCC campus

  • Westgate Las Vegas: attached to the LVCC with a monorail station in the building. The default CES hotel, and the first to sell out.
  • Fontainebleau Las Vegas: the newest luxury option in the convention corridor, about a mile north. Check Fontainebleau rates on Expedia
  • Resorts World: three Hilton brands, a Vegas Loop station to the LVCC, and north Strip dining. Check Resorts World rates on Expedia
  • SAHARA Las Vegas: the monorail's north terminus, three minutes from the Convention Center station, usually kinder rates. Check SAHARA rates on Expedia

For the Venetian Expo campus

For the ARIA (C Space) campus

Hotel prices last checked: October 12, 2026. CES week rates are the highest of the year and move fast: when you find an acceptable rate at the right campus, book it.

Getting between the campuses

CES shuttle buses

CTA runs free shuttle routes linking the campuses and official hotels during show hours. They are free and frequent, but they sit in the same traffic as everyone else, and the LVCC-to-Venetian run at peak times is the slowest trip in Vegas that week. Build buffer into any cross-campus meeting.

Las Vegas Monorail

The monorail is the LVCC campus secret weapon: the Boingo Convention Center station and Westgate station put you on the east Strip line, with Harrah's/LINQ the closest stop to the Venetian Expo (about a 10-minute walk from the station). It does not serve ARIA. Fares last checked: October 12, 2026: single ride $6 ($5.50 eTicket), 24-hour pass $15 ($13.45 eTicket), four-day pass $39 ($37 eTicket).

The Vegas Loop

The Loop's LVCC campus stations are free to ride within the convention center grounds, and fee-based routes connect to Westgate, Encore, and Resorts World. Useful for LVCC-campus hotel runs; it does not reach the Venetian or ARIA.

Walking and rideshare

Venetian Expo to the LVCC is roughly 1.5 miles: walkable once on a mild January morning, miserable as a daily commute in show shoes. Rideshare surge pricing during CES is the stuff of legend, and gridlock around the LVCC at show open and close is guaranteed. The veterans' rule: shuttle or monorail to the neighborhood, walk the last stretch.

Money and sanity tips

  • Book the official block or book early. The official CES housing block (run through CTA's housing partner) captures early demand, but plenty of attendees book outside it or extend stays. Either way, January rates spike hard, and waiting costs real money.
  • Extend through the weekend. The show ends Saturday, January 9. Staying Saturday night gets you a normal Vegas weekend at post-CES prices, and our convention attendee guide covers shows, team dinners, and free-day trips.
  • Eat off-peak. Every restaurant near the campuses is slammed from 6 to 8 PM. Our restaurants near the convention center guide routes you around the worst of it.
  • Badge strategy. Pick up credentials at the airport or a satellite desk on arrival day, not at the LVCC on Wednesday morning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CES open to the public?

No. CES is a trade-only event for consumer technology industry professionals. Registration requires verification of your industry affiliation, there are no public tickets, and the show floor is not open to consumers.

When and where is CES 2027?

Wednesday, January 6 to Saturday, January 9, 2027, in Las Vegas, with Media Days on January 4 and 5. The show spans 12 venues in three campuses: the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Venetian Expo, and ARIA.

Which hotel is best for CES?

It depends on your campus. For the LVCC, Westgate is attached and Fontainebleau is the premium nearby option. For the Venetian Expo, stay at The Venetian or Palazzo, or save money at Harrah's and The LINQ. For ARIA and C Space, stay at ARIA itself, The Cosmopolitan, or Bellagio. Prices last checked: October 12, 2026.

How long does it take to get between CES campuses?

Plan 30 to 60 minutes door to door at peak times between the LVCC and the Venetian Expo, whether by shuttle or rideshare. The monorail between the Convention Center station and Harrah's/LINQ is the most predictable trip. Never book back-to-back meetings on different campuses.

How many people attend CES?

CES 2026 drew 148,392 audited attendees, per the Consumer Technology Association's audit, making it one of the largest trade shows in the world and the biggest week of the year for Las Vegas hotels.
